Candle Care and Use Guide
Just light your candle and enjoy! It's that simple, right? Those are the basics, but to ensure optimal performance from your candle, we recommend following our care guide to help you get the most out of your candle.
Follow these steps to make this adventure special for you!
-
Safety first! When leaving the room, don't forget to blow out the candles. Better safe than sorry than unexpected "pyrotechnics" at home!
A scent that delights and a safety that protects. When enjoying the aroma of candles, make sure that the flame is always supervised and kept a safe distance from all flammable objects, small hands or paws.
Fire and fabric are not friends! Keep burning candles away from bedding, curtains, and other fabrics in your home that can easily catch fire.
A safe distance is usually at least 30 cm from any object that can burn.Keep the distance between candles! Place them at a safe distance from each other so that they burn evenly and do not pose a fire hazard.

Let the wax melt to the edges
Allow the entire top layer of wax to melt from edge to edge with each use. If the wax does not melt evenly, a "tunnel" may form and the wax will remain unused at the edges of the container.
We recommend burning the candle for 2-4 hours at a time (depending on size). -
Shorten the wick
Always (and we emphasize – always!) shorten the wick to about 5-10 mm before each use. This will ensure a cleaner burn and a longer candle life. If the wick is too long, it can cause black burn marks on the glass and produce more smoke.
We recommend purchasing a wick cutter – its curved shape allows you to easily access any container and make a clean cut while simultaneously capturing the cut part. -
Burn safely
Burn the candle in a well-ventilated area, away from drafts or air currents, to avoid uneven burning and smoking. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Extinguish the candle if it repeatedly smokes, flickers, or the flame is too high. -
Clean burning
Make sure there are no wick clippings, matches or other debris in the wax. We recommend that you do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time. After 4 hours, the candle becomes too hot, the aromatic oil begins to evaporate and the wax burns out faster.
-
Center the wick
After extinguishing the candle (we recommend using a candle snuffer), while the wax is still melted, carefully center and straighten the wick if it has deviated during use.
The extinguishing cup will extinguish the flame without smoke by cutting off the oxygen supply to the flame. -
Stop using
A candle should no longer be burned when there is about 1 cm of wax left at the bottom of the container. Sad to say goodbye? Keep a few of your favorite candles in reserve so the scent never runs out! You can clean the empty container and reuse or recycle it.
